John Eliasu Mahama

John Eliasu Mahama is the Technical Advisor for MPA-Ghana. He holds a MSc. in International Health jointly awarded by the University College London, UK and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. John has over ten years of work experience in public health and development practice spanning such domains as health system strengthening, health leadership, actions on social determinants of health, capacity building, health policy and research. He has in the past worked for the MDG Centre for West and Central Africa as a Regional Community Health Worker Programme Coordinator and for the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) as a focal person on the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organisation on HIV and AIDS. Prior to that, John worked with the Ghana Health Service, with Africare and with the Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights in Ghana. Since 2007, John has been an active member of the People’s Health Movement.
