Dr. John Okorio

John Okorio is the MPA Country Coordinator in Uganda. His professional background is in forestry and agroforestry, and he has vast experience in research for development in agriculture and forestry, covering areas such as sustainable development, natural resource management and livelihoods. He has vast experience in managing projects comprising multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams of specialists. He holds a PhD, MSc. and B.Sc. (Hons) in Forestry.

As the Country Coordinator, his main responsibilities include providing guidance and supervision for Millennium Promise Alliance projects and activities in the country. The other major responsibility is to liaise with government ministries, donors and project implementation units to ensure effective delivery of MPA projects and activities; and raise the profile of the organization in the country.
