For the past decade, Careerbuilder.com has been on the forefront of the American job search. Now, the company is leveraging its resources to raise funds for Millennium Promise. In addition to donating funds to support Millennium Promise's work in Malawi , CareerBuilder.com's social responsibility model also encourages employees to participate in awareness and fundraising activities. Past fundraising events include Strike Out Poverty, a nation-wide bowl-a-thon and Miles for Malawi, a Chicago-based family fun run. For the past two years, CareerBuilder.com has taken a group of employees to Malawi to see the results of their support. Watch a video of their trip and share their inspiration.

The mission of the Show Me Campaign is to fight economic and spiritual poverty through fostering sustainable development (personal, social, educational, economic) at the individual, family, and small community levels. The Show Me Campaign is a grassroots movement that engages all of its participants as agents of transformative change from the bottom up. Donations to the Show Me Campaign support Millennium Promise's work in Mbola, Tanzania .

OmniPeace unites people throughout the world in an effort to end extreme poverty by 2025 and promote peace and sustainability in sub-Saharan Africa . OmniPeace was founded by Los Angeles-based entrepreneur, Mary Fanaro, whose vision is to address vital humanitarian needs through the distribution and sale of consumer products, raise awareness of extreme poverty in sub-Saharan Africa and galvanize support for Millennium Promise. By purchasing an OmniPeace branded product, consumers have the vehicles to become activists while participating in Millennium Promise's call to action to support the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. To date, OmniPeace has raised more than $300,000 for Millennium Promise.

Millennium Congregations

Millennium Congregations works with diverse faith communities in facilitating education, advocacy and outreach for a more sustainable world through advancing the Millennium Development Goals. The group's approach builds and integrates these three program areas to achieve results from the active engagement of congregations, and other faith groups, in reducing extreme poverty. Through their capital campaign, Rwanda Promise, Millennium Congregations is supporting the Millennium Villages in Rwanda .

In 2008, eight cycling enthusiasts spent six and a half months riding from Cairo to Cape Town to raise awareness of the Millennium Development Goals and funds for Millennium Promise. On Saturday morning, July 19, 2008, the Cairo to Cape Town cycling team completed their journey, traveling 12,452 km through ten African countries. Their journey was featured in local news across the continent and raised over $200,000 for Millennium Promise's work toward supporting the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

The leadership and creativity of Norbert Simmons and the Simmons Family Foundation created “Promises Made,” an all-star jazz CD to benefit Millennium Promise and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals in Africa by 2015. Norbert Simmons and Millennium Promise partnered with entertainment industry titan Koch Records to produce the CD, featuring Grammy-nominated saxophonist Kirk Whalum, renowned Japanese pianist Takana Miyamoto, Grammy-winning vocal ensemble Take 6, veteran music producer George Duke and guitarist Earl Klugh, among others. 100% of the net proceeds from the sales of “Promises Made” will support Millennium Promise.

Millennium Campus Network

The Millennium Campus Network is an organization of university student groups committed to supporting the Millennium Development Goals to eradicate extreme poverty. The MCN brings together student organizations at leading universities to make the anti-poverty movement in the spirit of the MDGs a fully cross-disciplinary, collaborative and integrated effort. The network's latest initiative, Live Campus '09 is a series of concerts across schools nationwide to raise awareness of global poverty and create a modern student movement . Live Campus '09 also aims to raise money for a number of organizations focused on ending extreme poverty, including Millennium Promise.

Point Seven Snowball

Point Seven Snowball

Two fantastic volunteers set across Canada to create a “snowball” of point seven contributions referring to the pledge of developed nations to support the Millennium Development Goals by increasing foreign aid to 0.7% of their GNP. Through personal networks, the media and events, Point Seven Snowball encourages individuals to support the MDGs by donating 0.7% of their income to an organization working to end extreme poverty and encouraging their friends to do the same. Point Seven Snowball aims to raise enough money to support a Millennium Village.

Sustainable design is the basic premise of green building and Miller Homes proudly supports the Millennium Development Goals in its efforts to implement sustainable design practices to provide clean water, food crops and basic health care for some of the poorest people on our planet. The company is committed to giving back to the least fortunate and to making the world a better place. Through the Miller Homes web site, the company is raising awareness of Millennium Promise and building support for our work in the Millennium Villages.
