* Visit our MDG resources page for factsheets, photos and videos that you can use to spread the word about the Goals in your community.
* Download Millennium Promise and Millennium Villages info kits to host a house party, table at events and tell your friends and family about our work.

IN YOUR SCHOOL

Millennium Promise introductory videos and the accompanying teacher’s guide provide a glimpse of the conditions in Sauri, an impoverished village in Kenya that became the first Millennium Village.

Time for Kids article on Sauri, Kenya (written by Hannah Sachs) includes online lesson plans, a comprehension quiz, a teacher’s guide and worksheets.

Other K-12 Education Resources

* The Global Concerns Classroom provides teaching guides focusing on child survival, HIV/AIDS, hunger, women’s rights and water.
* Designed for US high school students, the Millennium Campaign Curriculum Project provides a comprehensive MDG curriculum including lesson plans, activities and a resource manual for teachers.
* One world Youth Project suggests a variety of MDG-related student activities in the “Educators Guide to the MDGs” as well as in the “MDG Action Guide
* The UN Cyberschoolbus serves as an on-line portal for a broad range of MDG-related curriculum and links to other educational resources.

COLLEGE CAMPUSES 

Millennium Promise partners with the Millennium Campus Network to spread the word about the MDGs to campuses across the United States. Check out MCN’s latest initiative, Live Campus ’09 to see how your campus can participate.

FAITH-BASED COMMUNITIES

Millennium Promise partners with Millennium Congregations to engage faith communities in the Goals. Millennium Congregations is establishing local networks of congregations, and other faith groups, to grow in understanding about extreme global poverty and become advocates for the MDGs and Millennium Villages.
